Writer’s Workshop – Me as I see it
For this week’s assignment by Mama Kat I am tackling the prompt
#4- Share a photo that represents how you see yourself.
I envision myself to be like salad in a bowl. A mixture of different skills and abilities all mixed together in one huge salad bowl. Like a salad, all the goodness of the different individual fruits and vegetables being brought together as part of a meal for the person(family) to consume.
You add in what you like/need and you take out what is not needed until you find the perfect match.
A bit of sweetness, saltiness and sour depending on the ingredients which you add in. All tossed together to give you all the vitamins and minerals you need for your daily intake.
This mama can be
Sweet– Baking cakes and other yummy food to fill your tummies, giving out hugs and kisses and encouragement where needed.
Salty- Like the bacon bits on in the salad making you thirst for knowledge by dishing out little tidbits which I know. Also reading up on the various items which the kids/hubs are interested in so that I have an understanding of what their world is and can be a participate actively in it.
Sour- I can be very vocal at time and do not mince my words leaving them “stinging” you like vinegar. i tell you the way I see it – Up Straight.

This is one of my favorite prompts that I’ve read. I haven’t given it much thought but I’m like coffee. I can be smooth and mellow, sometimes sweet. I can also be strong and bitter, especially if my hubby doesn’t work on his honey-do list! 😉

@Elle,
talk about honey-do list.. my hb is really flaking on his too.. I may need some “re-emphasis” on certain pointers that I have previously stated. 😛

I chose the same prompt. I like your take on it! I’m pretty heavy in the sweet department myself:)

I guess that most mums will have an overdose in the sweet department. Thanks for dropping by!

This was a very creative take on this prompt!! I have no idea what food I would compare myself to! Hopefully something that is “good for you”!

Great analogy… I thought about this one for awhile and just couldn’t get it. You captured yourself well!!!

I loved this post, the visualizations, the metaphors.
Too bad I would pour a bunch of Bleu Cheese dressing all over you and make you fattening! 🙂
Beautiful post. And nice yummy picture too!

Thank you for stopping by my blog, and I’m so happy that you like the way I decorated our house. It’s a silly thing because all my kids are grown, but when the grandchildren come over they love it too! Plus I get to see the kids in the neighborhood dressed up on Halloween. They won’t stop by I don’t think when your house is not decorated. Already following you! Have a great night.

How clever! After I started reading it made me think of the movie Shrek where he compared.himself to an onion!
