The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Juice Fasting

Book Cover
The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Juice Fasting by Steven Prussack and Bo Rinaldi is a really hand book about Juicing.
I have always looked for information on how to lose weight and be healthy without relying on dieting pills or going on extreme diets.
In this book the author introduces the concept on going on a juice fast as part of a long-term weigh management system. It also helps to rejuvenate your body and purge all the toxins which may have built up within you throughout the years.
The idea of introducing different type of healthy juices to my daily intake was really intriguing. There are many different recipes inside which really sounds yummy
For example
– Berry Smoothie
– Apple Pear Lemon Juice
– Pineapple Grapefruit juice
There certainly a juice for you and the benefits of making and drinking the different juices are clearly stated in the book.
My thoughts.
It was certainly fun trying out some of the recipes listed in the book. However I was not able try out some of the juices listed as it can be quite hard and very expensive to purchase some of the items here in Singapore. Certain items were not sold in our local supermarkets so I had to give a miss trying to make them.

I’m planning to prepare this drink for my husband. I want him to loose weight a little. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Mommy told me to try juicing too as part of our weight-loss program. Aside from that, she told me that we need to detoxify our system even once a week.

THis is wonderful. I have a family member with rheumatoid arthritis, who uses many health supplements found only at health food stores – she studies extensively the natural herbs that will reduce inflammation, etc. That plus juicing have been what keeps her out of a wheelchair, when her levels show that she should be unable to get out of bed every morning and writhing in pain. I definitely think juicing is awesome. And probably great to start right just because it’s healthy, not only because of its benefits when you are ill.

Sounds interesting. I can’t do any kind of juice detox because most of those juices interfere with my Synthroid. I enjoyed reading your blog post!

I’m actually going to try juicing soon, so thanks for this review!

Hi, I admire you for trying this diet but I don’t think I could handle it! And judging by your photo, you are beautiful, no need to lose anything!

I don’t think I could live off juicing for very long, I would get board with it. However, I think juicing is a fancy way to get enough fruits and veggies in your diet.

I need this. My mom did this when she was diagnosed with lupus and it really helped. So I truly believe in this.
