Mom Tip Tuesday- Housetraining your Kids

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9MlelIMtFs&w=480&h=385]

I recently saw this meme- Mom Tip Tuesday and decided to join in this week.

I personally feel that teaching kids to help out at home should start from young. It is only through constant practice that they develop the habit of  helping out at home. I let my boys help with the vacuuming and cleaning since they were young as you can see from the video above.

By treating housework like a fun game they do not feel it is a “dread” to carry out the activities and it really helps me  keep the house clean and lightens my load.

What your toddler/kid can be taught to

  1. Vacuum the floor
  2. Put their clothes in the laundry basket after they change .
  3. Place the full laundry basket in the laundry room and load up the washing machine
  4. Pack their school bags.
  5. Place their cutlery/utensils in the sink after use.
  6. Help to placed folded laundry into their cupboard.
  7. Pack and stow away their toys after play
  8. Store away groceries after each grocery run.

What Mom Tips do you have to share?

    Thanks for joining in this week! All good ideas. I mean, they should totally vacuum the floor since it wouldn’t be all crummy if they weren’t crumming it up all the time, right!
