Quirky Toddler Talk- Everything Pink and Green
Last weekend I was talking to Roy about colours. He has learned most of the colours and is able to identify quite a few.
“Roy what’s your favourite colour”" I asked him.
” Pink!!” he replied enthuastically.
I was puzzled ” Pink??” I quizzed him ” Why Pink?”
He replied ” I like pink… eh .. PINK- Strawberry Milk, Strawberry Ice-cream, strawberry milkshake.. My FAVOURITE!!”
” Is there any other colour that you like besides Pink? ” I asked Roy.
He paused for a while and said” I like Pink and Green” I like Green – Henry, Percy and Oliver (referring to Thomas the Train Engine Friends)… mummy’s car is also green”

Your son has a very good reason for liking pink, who could argue with strawberry milkshakes?
My youngest loved black & white. Our cat was black with a little white. At age 6 she picked out a white with black spots puppy. I had a bit of hope her color changing. Nope, she is now 15y/o & just adopted another puppy that is mostly black with a little white. The saving spot is that she also likes dark purple. Her dogs both have purple collars & leashes. She may never grow out of it.
