It is never too young to introduce a child to the world of Science and discovery.

Here are some recommended sites for exploring various topics in science with your toddlers/preschoolers.

  • Discovery Kids
    Have fun with Science through the games, quizzes and puzzles on this website.
  • Peep and the Big Wide World
    This website features activities that you can do with your kids indoor/outdoors with minimal materials.  There are also some simple interactive games which you child can try out on their own and movies to watch.
  • BrainPop JR
    This is a more factual website which give information on the different science topic. It is a subscription based site but there is free content/movies on it which you can view. I do recommend trying out their free trial on their site to see if the content is useful for your kids.
  • The Science Monster
    A factual site about the  earth and our solar system.

  • The Human Anatomy Online
    Graphics and explanations of the various  systems that make up the human body.
  • Time for Kids
    A magazine layout site which features resources for K1- grade 2 kids based on different themes.  There are printable quizzes and graphic organizers which you can use in learning  different scientific concepts.
  • First-School
    This is the site to go if you are looking for worksheets on specific topics.
  • Lawrence Hall of Science
    There is a collection of fun online games, home activities and other cool stuff recommended on their site.
