Reflective Monday #6

What’s inside an egg? During our playgroup session (E is for EGG) we played with different types of eggs- fresh, hard boiled and jelly eggs. It was fun to the kids eyes light up when they discovered that the 3 eggs they had were different inside. They learned that they cannot judge an item by it’s external coverings.

I feel as a parent I should teach my child not to be rash in his judgement based on external factors but to see the total picture first before making any decision.

Be the next one to post your reflection using Mr Linky!!

Hi! Good to find a fellow Singaporean on the blogosphere.

Not easy for kids to not be judgemental. Even when an adult is elderly, they can still be biased.

    Hi Eastcoastlife,
Thanks for stopping by. Agree that is it not easy for kids and adults not to be judgemental. However it is possible to teach them that sometimes unexpected can happened and how they can react in such a situation.

This is such a cool idea. I will have to try it with my daughter. We keep chickens and she helps collect the eggs, but I’ve never thought to have a look inside them with her!
