Easter

Easter Hunt cum Swim Party

Easter Flowers

On Easter Sunday we gathered at one of my aunt’s house for  Easter Lunch. The boys were looking forward to the Easter hunt that she had prepared for them.

After lunch they took their baskets and went around the garden looking for the chocolate easter eggs.

After the Easter Egg hunt the boys headed straight for the pool to cool off from the afternoon heat.

It was a really fun Easter for the kids and they had so much fun that they are so looking forward to next Easter where they can go on an Easter egg hunt again.

How was your Easter?

Next Sunday is Easter Sunday. The 40 days of lent is almost over. During this period of lent I have been thinking about how to start the boys on their journey to understanding GOD.  Spiritual education , to me, is also an important part in their holistic education.

We are Catholics and the boys have been baptized when they were born.  I haven’t really introduced the boys much to our faith besides the weekly church service and now Ryan is attending Sunday School since he is in K1.

I bought this book for Ryan last year or so as a tool to introduce him to reading the bible. Unfortunately we are still  stuck in Genesis  and I have yet to make our way down to the other books in the bible.

DLTK-Bible is an interesting site which has lots of printable activities relating to the bible.  While browsing over at that site I came across songs, poems and crossword puzzles which pre-schoolers would enjoy doing.  There are activities even suitable for 2-3yr old. I intend to use these activities to supplement our weekly bible reading.

How do you intend to build up your child’s spiritual quotient?
