TGIF~ Driving Together

Tiger Girl & Doggie Boy Driving Together

It’s finally Friday. The kids are very excited as their dad will be returning home tomorrow. It has been a very busy week  and we are glad that the weekend has arrived.

Tiger Girl is really a handful nowadays as she has started  fighting and snatching with her brothers. She too insists on pressing the buttons in the lift when we go up and down in it and would yell at the top of her lungs if she is not able to get her way. It’s a real circus having all 3 kids compete to press the lift buttons when we enter and none of them want to take turns.I really wonder what’s the fascination with pressing buttons.

1. Dream job…realistic and completely unrealistic.

I’m enjoying my dream job now being home with the kids and having the chance to fully participate in their growing up years.

Something completely unrealistic would be a sous chef. It would be great being able to create tasty desserts in a state of the art kitchen but first I would have to attend cooking school.

2. Do you fart in front of your significant other?

I try not to. I don’t think it’s polite to do so.

3. What’s the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home? How far and where was it?

It would be London. It’s like almost on the other side of the world from here in Singapore.

4. How do you celebrate birthday for your kids? Family only or friends? … Alternate for those without kiddos: How did you celebrate birthdays as a kid?

We have the 3 cake tradition that started with the eldest. It’s normally family and relatives.

5. Fave thing about fall?

I like the weather.. cooling.  The changing colours and fashion.

My Questions this week

1) What type of swimsuit do you wear?
2) Do you wear goggles when you go swimming?

My Answer:
I’m go for 2 pc swimsuits nowadays and I normally don’t wear goggles when I swim.

Aloha 5QF~ Post Birthday Edition

Tiger girl has been zooming around lately since she started crawling around. She now goes for more fancy rides like this tricycle above when we go out to the park. Her she is trying out a friend’s daugther’s tricycle. Isn’t it cute..it has lovely stickers and it plays music. We have a similar one for her that was passed down from her brothers.

It has been a busy week parenting solo as R is away (again) on business trip. The good thing is that the kids are no longer sick and do not need any medication. Yeah!!

1)If you had a weekly newspaper column, what would you name it?

It would be  Mookies Weekly Digest. I like the way “Mookies” sounds.

2. Who is your mentor/inspiration?
It would be my friend F as he is a guy would radiates very positive vibes and is one with himself and religion.

3. What is your wake up beverage of choice?
Fresh Milk.

4. Would you wear your mom’s clothes?
Yes. If the clothes suit me and the venue.

5. When you were a kid, did you put posters on your wall? If so, what were they of?

I don’t remember putting posters on the wall. However for my kids they have a big Cars2 poster on their door at the moment.

My questions this week

  1. How do you approach sensitive topics like sex with your kids?
  2. At what age did you start educating your child about these topics?

My answer ( I know some readers are interested to know)
I think that now at 1st year elementary is a good time to educate my eldest and give him a “clear” picture about these topics so that in time to come he will be able to make informed decisions and do have enough trust in us to let us know his thoughts/decisions.
I do have some books and at present there are such programs on TV which I may let him tune in and watch alongside us to let him be better informed.
