Yesterday I had a baking marathon. I baked 2 butter cakes and 20 chocolate cupcakes for R’s office. We decided to bake our own 1st month cakes for Riona as it will cut down the cost which would have been incured if we were to purchase them and they may not be as tasty.
I hope they like the cakes that I made.

The boys in our house have been captivated by magic and in particular the Taiwanese magician Liu Qian. During the weekends they enjoy watching the magic show section in ” Zhong Yi Da Ge Da” which is shown on Channel U.
The tricks which he performs are simply stunning and there is no need for elaborate gadgets and models as assistants to carry out the illusions. Even though I have seen the series on ” Magic tricks revealed” it is quite impossible to see how such tricks could be carried out with the most ordinary items and without prior arrangements or set up.
Liu Qian is one of the most successful Asian magician who has won many international magic accolades.
R has bought Ryan a few magic trick sets and he is learning how to perform simple tricks. They are fascinated at how magicians can make things disappear and appear by simply snapping their fingers. Maybe in time to come Ryan will be able to perform magic tricks to entertain the family during family gatherings.
