Bringing on Some Blog Positivity and Saturday Memes

Waiting for his food.

This week was a rather chaotic week for me as the kids were on a week long term break.  My schedule was really messed up by having both boys at home with the girl and all three vying for my attention simultaneously. We went on play dates and outings during the week but too managed to do some catch up on some academic revision which I had scheduled for the boys.  I can’t wait for school to start again next week so I can catch up on the tasks and pending deadlines which I have to meet this March.

Next week I’ll be taking part in Blog Positivity Week.  I’ll be writing about how blogging has changed for me and evolved through the years since I started back in 2007. There will be a lot of stuff lined up next week with another giveaway starting tomorrow.

1. Have you ever felt that you needed to just forget an ex-lover?
Never. I’m too in love with my current lover to ever need to think about an  ex-lover.

2. Spring picnics and cookouts are here! What would you want to have on your plate as you head back to the table?
I would like to bring the kids on a picnic one of these weekends. We could do a Teddy Bear’s picnic just for the fun of it. Sound’s great doesn’t it 😛

3. It’s St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th! Do you celebrate? Drink Green Beer? Go out?

No celebration here. As it’s the weekend we bring the kids out as usual. Today we went bicycle riding in the park but it rained halfway and had to leave early.

4. Did you remember to wear green today?
No.  My son Doggie boy will happily wear  Green any day as it is his favourite colour. His favourite pieces of clothes are his green Angry bird T-shirt and Jacket( See picture above)

5. What phrase or saying do you over use?
Shh..be quiet the baby is sleeping”.. and the older brothers will be still oblivious and making a din until I go up to them and stare at them directly in their faces.

6. If you could (or could have) change(d) something about your relationship with your parents, what would it be?
Not sure about this..maybe I could have been more open with then regarding certain issues but at present I remain status quo.

7. If the NCAA Men’s or Women’s Final Four basketball tournament was played in your hometown arena or within easy driving distance from where you live, would you try to attend one of the games?
No. I’m not into watching basketball so I’ll give it a miss.

8. No matter what’s going on in your life, what always makes you smile?
Seeing the kids  and R every morning. 🙂

9. We’ve asked this before: What else is on your mind? Go ahead and rant

I  want to be able to make passive income or have a steady stream of income while being home with the kids. However it seems like so hard to get something really suitable with will not compromise my time too much and doesn’t pay peanuts for my efforts.

The Importance of Making Time for Me

Being a full time mother is having a  job which has one of the longest working hours on a daily basis. We are busy from the time we wake up and only able to take a break when the kids go to bed at night. Sometimes our day doesn’t end till past midnight as we still have unfinished chores and task to do for the day.  Many people perceive that  full time mothers would fall into the trap of being  so busy taking care of their kids that they start to neglect their own well being.

That’s definitely not me. Certainly not!

I believe that it is important to take care of myself first to be able to fully concentrate on caring for the family.  Everybody needs some “Me Time” including myself and there is no exception to it.

It is essential to have time off to recharge and rejuvenate my spirit so that I can cope fully with the stresses of motherhood and caring for my three kids.

I should and can have a life besides just caring for the kids and taking care of the household.

It shouldn’t be difficult to schedule your babysitters with a sitter scheduling program like Sitter Scout.

Sitter Scout makes it  easy it is to schedule a sitter as and when needed. The online mobile tool allows you to help book your existing babysitters faster, by instantly contacting the sitters you choose – and enabling them to respond – via SMS.

It not only saves  time but makes confirmation much easier by doing all the work needed to get a sitter.

I find that it is great that I am ensured that there is someone to take care of the kids. I would be able to go for the baking class which I had been planning to attend and have some time to do what I like.  I would  also  have peace of mind while attending the class as I know the kids are in good hands.

Taking time off for myself really perks me up and makes me happier. It rubs off on the kids too as I am more tolerant with them and they too are happier when mummy’s happy too.
