Mama Get’s The Last Laugh
Monkey Boy when he was about three years old. |
Back then when Monkey Boy was still a toddler he was already very argumentative. He is apt in trying to manipulate and get his way. However he is not able to succeed each time as mummy is able to outsmart him on most occasions.
I don’t know if you will find this hilarious but here was how that conversation went.
Monkey boy was playing with a toy with me watching on.
Me” Why are you doing that? ”
Monkey Boy ” I like it that’s why?”
Me ” That is not the proper way of handling the toy.”
Monkey Boy (looking displeased) ” I’ll tell my mummy!”
Me ” Yeah ! What do you want to tell me? ”
Monkey Boy ( Oops!!)

Haha! Hilarious! The Running To Tell Mommy weapon hardly works on Mom herself 🙂

I just spent the week with my grandson and had some similar conversations. He threatened me with telling his Daddy on me (my son) and I called my son and handed the phone to him!
They are so much fun!!!

I’m guessing he forgot who he was talking to?

I think this is very funny! I love that he felt he was talking with a friend.

Hehe, too funny. Monkey boy is so cute 🙂 I just love kids when they are in their toddler age!

@Jen,
Yup he’s cute and his bro’s equally argumentative. I wonder how the girl will turn out when she becomes a toddler in a year or two.

I can take argumentative when they’re under 4, because it’s still pretty cute, but when they hit 5+ and they can really come up with some very good reasons/alibis/excuses, I find that I have to be constantly on my toes! 🙂

@Buckeroomama,
That’s so true. I find it a daily challenge trying to outsmart my 7yr old and get him to go along with my reasoning.

Hello.
Haha! You got him!
You’ve certainly got yourself a handful…wait until the teenage years…they’ll be able to outsmart you then.
Nicely done!

@Andy,
I’m not looking forward to their teenage years as I can predict that it will be really mentally taxing with 3 argumentative kids. However I’ll take things as they come.

What an adorable story. Loved the picture you chose to accompany the story, too. I can picture him saying that. He is definitely a doll!
Thanks for the smile.
