RTT- Missing and Found
These two weeks that has been a really unwanted visitor in our house. Let’s call it ” Mr Invisible” . He has the knack of making things disappear and make you frantically look around for it. Searching high and low and being desperate as you can’t find the item. You begin tracing and recalling where you last saw it and wishing that it is still where you think it was.
“Mummy I can’t find it” must be the most dreaded sentence which I wish to hear this week.
The past week I had been searching around for Doggy Boy’s Sunday School pencil box and his piano bag. When I realized that the items were missing I dreaded the possibility of having to replace all the missing items. We searched everywhere before the items popped up again mysteriously.
Today I heard that ” I’ can’t find it!!” statement again.. Shudders!!.. It was monkey boy’s physical ed uniform. It really stressed me out as I searched to find it. After rummaging through the boys closet and repacking everything in sight we still couldn’t find that T-shirt and the school bus was arriving soon.
I quickly pull of the T-shirt which I just laundered and iron it dry for him to use so that I could send him off to the bust on time.
It doesn’t help that he has Physical Ed two days back to back and that one out of the two t-shirts he has was missing. My mind kept racing and thinking where that particular T-shirt could have been placed. It wasn’t possible for it to be place anywhere else besides the clothes drawers. I’ve already searched through the kids drawers and it wasn’t there.. could it be in the bedlinen closet or R and my wardrobe. I went through each and every clothes drawer in the house and repacked every single item while I did a throughrour search.
After half and hour of intensive search I found it the “missing” t-shirt in Hubby’s drawer. Talking about putting all the “boys” items away. The t-shirt apparently got stuffed in the big boy’s drawer instead of the little ones.
Phew!! That was really exhausting.

Those little elves seem to run rampant at our house, too – Princess Nagger is always missing something, and gets distressed in major Drama Queen mode until it’s found. 😉

I live with a bunch of losers too. My hubby and sons lose everything. Mom can find anything though. Most of the time.

@Vandy,
I guess one of the abilities of mums is being able to find stuff which other family members lose.. really wonder how chaotic the household will be if we are not around to supervise things.

I really hate to hear “I can’t find it.” Drives me nuts! Our place isn’t that BIG! How do these things get lost!?
Haha, Happy Tuesday! 🙂

“I can’t find it” usually means “I put it somewhere when I was playing and now I’m demanding you find it” at our house. Of course, he’s only 3.
