Weekend Reflections- Being Back At Work

WeekendReflections

The 1st week of school has come and gone at whirlwind speed.  It has been really exhausting having to reschedule both my internal and external clock. For the past week it has been back to waking up at  6 o’clock in the morning and getting the kids settled and sent off to school and report to work  before school starts at 7.30am.

After a month long school holidays it is taking a while for me to adjust to this faster pace  after being on rest mode taking time slow with the kids.

It has been great to be back at work and interacting with my collegues. However, it means that I’m back doubling up effort balancing work and family life.

Workload is much heavier this year with additions major projects at work on top of the normal teaching load. I’m not deterred by this additional load  but am challenging myself to be able to perform to the best of my capabilities.

How has your 1st week of January been?

  1. My first reaction reading this post is ‘oh my! Waking up daily at 6am and be at work at 730am is no joke!’ Hmm… but then again, you know, all the successful people wake before dawn. :D

I MUST enjoy my last year of not having to wake before the rooster. :P
