I saw this meme being twittered by @cutestkidsever and decided to join in this weekend.
Dear Roy,
This week has been a very exhausting week for me. It started since Thursday night when you decided that at 2am that it was no longer going to be bed time for you. You work up and went around playing your toys in the house. You brought all your toys from the hall to your room and onto your bed. I repeatedly told you to keep your toys outside and to go back to bed but you ignored me.
When no one was willing to play with you, you went to look through your stack of DVDs and pulled out one sending the whole pile crashing to the ground. You insisted that you wanted to view the DVD on TV and asked me to switch it on for you. I told you that it is late and to go back to bed.
Next you insisted on climbing into bed with us and did you fancy 360 degrees karate kicks and head butts. Daddy and I were annoyed with you as we do have to get our sleep if we are to function well the next day. We came to the conclusion that maybe the cough syrup that we gave you before bed was keeping you hyper and to remind ourselves not to give you any medication prior to bed to prevent any “night activity” by you that last 2hrs !!
Mummy is very exhausted now as I type this letter to you as today was a very packed day with us going to the beach, rollerblading and attending your friend’s 3yr old birthday party.( Not mentioning chasing you in and out the function room and around the playground to make sure that you were playing safely)
