Highlights of May 2016

The 3 Kids

The 3 Kids

May was one of the most chaotic months for me. Even though I had a break from my studies I was busy coaching the boys as it was the exam month for them.  Monkey boy’s study schedule will be getting more and more intensive as his Prelim Exams are around the corner.

While taking a break from studies I spent more time pondering on my directions for the rest of 2016.  It will get even more busy in the 2nd half of this year as  my workload will be increasing.   Looking at blooms certainly helps to keep one’s spirit high and focused.

I aim to start trying out new dishes again to add to the existing menu. I’m going to add more low-carb dishes to the weekly meals to make it a more healthy eating experience for the kids and me.  Yummy eats are something which I will be working on.

Japanese Bento

I intend to  sign up for a Japanese cooking class if I do come across a suitable one. I certainly need a hands on session with a Japanese chef.

How was your month of May?

Cati and Tiny Blooms

Tiny things can be really intriguing to me.  I love looking at the details and enjoying the finer things in life.  Bigger is not always better when it comes to macro photography.

Cactus is one of the hardiest plant that I know and it is really low maintenance. I have yet to try looking after a cactus. I hope that I don’t kill it instead.

“cabbage like” cactus

This cactus reminds me of a cabbage head. It sure looks looks like a great  plant to add to  garden to give it a  rustic theme.

This bloom must be from the same family as the one pictured above. It was  on a branch instead of on the ground.

I personally prefer the cactus green then dark brown/ purplish.  The petals are more define in the 2nd picture above then the third one.

This cactus reminds me of un-riped bananas minus the spikes at the end.

Do you have cactus in your garden?
