The Boys Piano Recital
The piano at the recital room
Over the weekend the boys had their piano recital for 2014. Last year both of the boys performed at the same venue with Monkey boy doing a solo while Doggie boy did a duet with his teacher. This year was slightly different as both the boys were playing solo pieces.

This year Monkey boy performed the March in A Flat which is one of the exam pieces for his Grade 4 Practical Examinations later on in the year.

Doggie boy on the other hand played the Pumpkin Boogie. This year he was more confident performing and managed to play the whole tune from start to finish error free.
I was really impressed by the boys performance as they executed their pieces with confidence and really played well doing their solos.
Do your kids play the piano too?

Very lovely and impressive. It’s great to cultivate the natural talents that our little ones have, plus encouragement goes a very long way as well.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!

I am envious. I always wanted piano lessons but ended up having to teach my self to ‘play.’ I offer to get lessons for my kids and they just groan.

Well done lads!! I played piano throughout childhood, youth and early adulthood but the move to Australia meant no keyboard so it has fallen aside. My niece is a keyboard genius though! Have a great week. YAM xx

Your boys are really talented! My kids have a keyboard that they play around with but none of them are interested in taking lessons. Hopefully someday one of my kids will want to take piano lessons. Have a terrific day!

Cute boys. I had one child play the clarinet and the other two played the stereo.

Hi Rachel!
The boys played really well and I can see that they are growing up to be confident young men! And they look so much like their daddy!
I was looking around your blog earlier and already, had picked up a parenting tip or two. Awesome! Thanks much!

We bought a keyboard almost two years ago. I planned to enroll my son to piano lesson, maybe next year 🙂 You are indeed a proud mom and I hope I can post one like that too when my son learn how to play piano. I just hope it’s in his heart to learn play piano too. It’s one of my frustrations actually.
