Statues and White Blooms

A Wooden Horse

Statues  within gardens really help give character to the place.  It sets the theme for the garden and helps to develop your mood as you linger around admiring the flowers.

A crocodile statue

I spotted this stone crocodile in one of the ponds at  Gardens at the bay.  I feel that it looks more cute then scary as an ornament although it does give one a tropical feel to the place.

A small white bloom

While walking in the garden I spotted this white  bloom. It looked so pure and white and would certainly look lovely in a colorful vase.

A hanging white bloom

If having  table blooms is not your style then how about a hanging white bloom.  This one in the picture above  caught my eye.  It would certainly look eye catching hanging from a pot  off a wall or from the ceilling.

What caught your eye this week?

Roses and Cactus

White Rose

White Rose

Roses has always been one of my favourite flowers. I love the sweet smell it gives of and the ruffles in it’s petals are really appealing.

Pink rose

Having a mixture of both pink and white roses in a vase would certainly brighten up the house.  It is a pity that roses are not long lasting and those that I do buy do not last more then a week at home.

A flower like cactus

I think I would be better of keeping cactus at home. At least I would not have to worry about it “dying” on me.

Another cactus

Another cactus I spotted at Garden at the Bay

They look evergreen and are of relatively low maintenance as compared to looking after flowering blooms.

Which would you choose to have in your home?
