Cherry Blossoms in Taiwan

The Cherry blossom is one of the most beautiful flowers that I’ve seen sprouting on a tree.  I  would love to go to Japan during the Cherry blossom season but I do not have the funds as this moment. I guess that I would have  to save up more before it could become a reality.

I’m lucky that I got to view the cherry blossoms when I was in Taiwan in Feburary this year.  It was the first time that I visited a Cherry blossom grove and it was a really magical experience for me.

I was lucky to be able to spot this bee buzzing near the flower and capture it with my camera.

I’m not sure what bird this is but I spotted it flying toward the flower looking for nectar.

I managed to see 3 different varieties of Cherry blossoms.   They were in white, light pink and dark pink.

Don’t they look lovely as a cluster of flowers on a tree.  White has to be my 2nd favourite out of all the varieties that I saw.

I visited Taiwan a bit late as most of the blooms have already dropped as it was nearly the end of the Cherry Blossom season.  If I was in Taipei a few weeks earlier I would have been able to see all the trees in full bloom. That would have certainly be awesome!!

Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. I love the multitude of colors that they are available in.  Having them in a range of colors in a field is certainly really a visual treat.

It was a spectacular scene at Tao Yuan Shien Valley in Taoyuan, Taiwan.  It was really wondrous to see so many different tulips at one place.

Don’t you feel that you have stumbled onto a piece of heaven by being surrounded by so many lovely tulips ?

I do not know the name of the different types of tulips on display as there were no signage to indicate so.

It certainly felt magical to be surrounded by the different colored tulips. It gave me a lot of opportunity to play around with different type of shots. I had the chance to experiment with taking pictures at different angles and changing the focus of my shots.

I took a selection of single shots and wider angle shots which featured more blooms within a frame.

Not all the tulips were planted in the ground as I spotted these potted one at one of the sections of the garden.
