My 1st Pony Ride

See I am riding without using my hands!!
Ryan on the Pony

Last weekend R brought the boys to Pasir Ris Park. They were there for a bicycle ride and brought their bikes. After the bike ride Ryan  decided to have a go on the ponies which were there at the park. It was his first time on a pony and he enjoyed his $10 ride thoroughly.

Gallop Stables have been operating their pony rides at Pasir Ris Park for a few years now. We have brought the boys there to look at the ponies but they weren’t interested in the pony rides till last week.

If you are interested to bring your kids for a pony ride here is the address

Weekend Reflections- Mama Needs a Break

The month long confinement is finally coming to a break. I really hate being cooped up in the house on the weekends while everyone else can go off to the park  or out shopping. It can be very depressing  having to stay in the house day and night to care for the infant while everyone else can go about with their normal daily routine.

Maybe the post baby blues are getting to me and the longing to fit back into the pre-baby clothes.  I’m really bored with having minimal adult conversation and seeing the numbers on the weighing scale not falling fast enough.

I don’t think it is really the lack of sleep causing me to feel all so frustrated at times. It has been almost 7 years and I have yet to have uninterrupted sleep. I guess that I have to wait till all of them are toilet trained and sleeping through the night before having the luxury of  proper sleep.

The night feeds/diaper changes  2-3 hourly throughout the day is extremely monotonous. Even though it is part of the package of looking after a newborn I am really looking forward to a change in such a routine.

A change of scenery or environment will certainly lift my spirit.  I want to hop on a plane and jet off to a foreign country and enjoy visiting their museums and place of interest. It will be fun shopping in the city and having a different experience.

I want some time off from the kids and more time with R as a couple or with the baby. I need to recharge before being able to cope with the hassles of dealing with all three kids single handedly.

This Mama needs a Break!!
