Writer’s Workshop – Me as I see it

For this week’s assignment by Mama Kat I am tackling the prompt

#4- Share a photo that represents how you see yourself.

I envision myself to be like  salad in a bowl. A mixture of different skills and abilities all mixed together in one huge salad bowl.  Like a salad, all the goodness of the different individual fruits and vegetables being brought together as part of a meal for the person(family) to consume.

You add in what you like/need and you take out what is not needed until you find the perfect match.

A bit of sweetness, saltiness and sour depending on the ingredients which you add in. All tossed together to give you all the vitamins and minerals you need for your daily intake.

This mama can be

SweetBaking cakes and other yummy food to fill your tummies, giving out hugs and kisses  and encouragement where needed.

Salty- Like the bacon bits on in the salad  making you thirst for knowledge by dishing out little tidbits which I know. Also reading up on the various items which the kids/hubs are interested in so that I have an understanding of what their world is and can be a participate actively in it.

Sour- I can be very vocal at time and do not mince my words leaving them “stinging” you like vinegar. i tell you the way I see it – Up Straight.

How do you see yourself?

1st Month Cakes ( Part 2)

Chocolate cake with pink buttercream
Buttercake with chocolate covering
Decorated chocolate covered butter cake

Last week I baked some cakes baked for R’s workplace. This week these are the bakes which I made for my workplace.

I only started baking when the boys left for the park to cycle with their dad. It took about  2.5hrs to bake the cakes as it takes about 40min per cake to bake and about another 2.5hr to finish icing all of them. In total it took me about 5 hrs to complete the cakes.

My colleagues  love eating the cakes and found them very yummy. I’m glad they liked it.
