Weekend Reflections- Preparing for Flying Solo

WeekendReflections

R will be off on another business trip at the end of next week. This will be when the challenge really begins. I am now getting everything ready for facilitating the handling of the 3 kids on my own.

This will be Riona’s new carry position within the ergo. I just purchased the organic ergo carrier with the infant insert. I already have the MIM Sling and recently a girlfriend of mine gifted me a baby pouch. Those are very compact and handy items to bring about/use when out with the baby alone. However if I’m going to be out grocery shopping or with all 3 kids it could be quite dangerous. Riona still needed to be supported with one hand as her neck is still not steady and I do not have two free hands to hold both the boys.  At 1.5mths old she can only be put in the cradle position and both the sling and the pouch doesn’t have much neck support.

There were two different carrier which I was considering- The Baby Bjorn  or the Ergo. We went to test both at the shop. The Baby Bjorn carrier is much cheaper and lighter then the Ergo. However it would only last her till she is 1 years old and is not suitable for babies under 3 months old. The other plus point is that it could let the baby face outwards when they are bigger while for the Ergo it is strictly inside facing.

After much deliberation on which carrier I should get I decided on this blue Ergo one below. Doesn’t it look trendy?

Supercharge Your Need for Speed

Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT and the MacLaren F1 are some of the fastest cars featured in the top 10 fastest car list for  2009-2010.

Would you fancy driving one of these hot “babes”?

I certainly would. Fast cars and a need for speed has always interest me and this interest has even rubbed off onto our boys. Going fast on the road really builds up one’s adrenalin and sets the heart pumping.

The boys have been having great gift ideas for their potential bride when they get married.  Ryan has been saying that he is very interested in getting a Lamborghini as a wedding present for his bride. Roy on the other hand is opting for a Masarati  for his bride.  I feel that they have  really neat ideas.  Who wouldn’t want to be gifted a sports car?

Driving a supercar around a race track under the instructions of a coach would certainly make a it at the top of the list of christmas gifts for men.  Unfortunately for Ryan, being a six year old, he still has to wait for a long time before he reaches the minimum age of 25.  However, I’m sure that his dad too wouldn’t mine having a spin in such  a beauty. Wouldn’t you like a spin in it too?
