Rekindle Your Love- Go on a Picnic

It’s November and Christmas is around the corner. This year has been an extremely hectic year for us. It is time to plan for our year end vacation.

Last year we flew off to Philippines for white water rafting. This year with a infant around we have scrapped the idea of an overseas trip.

We will be having a staycation at Sentosa instead. I have booked our accommodation and look forward to having a picnic on one of the beaches there.

A picnic basket is something I would be packing along for this trip. It would nice to sit in the shade  with the baby  and enjoy icy cold sparkling  non-alcoholic  white grape juice . ( I would like red wine but would have to give it a miss as I am still breastfeeding)

The boys would be busy making sandcastles or playing freebie with their dad. They could also take pictures of the beach with their camera.

Having an assortment of cheeses with crackers would make the picnic perfect. This apple shaped cutting board would be a great accessory for us to bring along on the picnic. The board comes with cheese cutting tools which are cleverly concealed within a drawer in the board.

The kids and I are looking forward to our upcoming  staycation. What are you planning for this Christmas?

Miscellany Monday- Bags, carriers and all

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Bags and more bags have been on my mind lately. Bags that serve different purpose for different people.

#1- Buying a schoolbag.

Ryan will be starting elementary school soon. I’ve been looking around for suitable schoolbags for him. I will most probably get an ergonomic bag for him as it would be better for his spine. I will be having my eyes wide open for any upcoming sales on school bags.

#2- Getting a baby carrier for Riona.

At present I have a sling and a pouch for Riona to place her in when we are out. However I have been thinking of logistically it can be quite dangerous to have her in the sling . I need to use both my hands to hold the boys when we are out and will not be able to use one hand to support her head while she is in the sling. I’m seriously thinking of getting an Ergo to help me out but will have to test it out in the shops 1st.

#3- Getting a all in one bag.

I’m at present using a canvas satchel bag as a diaper bag/all-in-one bag when I go out with the kids. I’m still looking around for something which is a bit more lightweight as the bag really weighs a ton with everything in it. Another thing is that the strap keeps on getting loose even though I have pre-adjusted it to the length which I am comfortable with. Maybe it is because the bag is old or it is because there has been too many things being placed within it?

Any suggestions on bags?
