RedWeek Budget Friendly Vacations Review and Giveaway

Finding affordable accommodation for a vacation has never been easy.  This is especially if you are traveling in a big group and would need a few rooms to accommodate the whole family. Normally a large proportion of the holiday budget has to be set aside for room rentals and they can range from a few hundreds to thousands depending on the duration of stay and how posh the hotel is.

Timeshare rentals are a good way of getting accommodation at up to 50% off.  Instead of being cramped into a small hotel room you are given a choice of apartments/suites with kitchen facilities. Most of the timeshares locations  are at upmarket resorts with water parks, game rooms, and even kids playgrounds.  It would be like a vacation home without the premium price tag attached to it.

At RedWeek.com there is a wide selection of accommodation for your family vacation.  You can get great deals for vacations at various destinations which would certainly fit your family budget. You just need to sign up at their website as a guest to be able to browse their offerings.

It gets even better.

Redweek is offering a free two years membership to their site for one lucky reader here at Dominique’s Desk. You just have to fill up the rafflecopter entry form below for a chance to win the prize.

5QF, Fill in Friday and Saturday Memes

Doggie boy has been very happy this week. He received a new bullet train and additional train tracks to add on to his train track collection. Just look at the huge intertwining tack he create on the floor.  Are your boys into train sets too?

1. What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

It would have to be my new ASUS laptop that I receieved from R for this Christmas. Talk about Santa delivering presents early this year 😛

2. Worst/Funniest White Elephant gift ever received?

I don’t give White Elephant gifts. However if you are interested to read  this was the  Worst Gift Ever .

3. Is your Christmas tree plain and simple (white lights and matching ornaments) or is it wand crazy (colored lights with lots of ornaments collected over the years)?

It’s really space age as it’s invisible. You have to use your imagination in order to see it. ( We are not putting up any trees this year)

4. “How” do you iron your clothes? The old fashioned iron/ironing board way, the shower, back in the dryer, etc.

I use the iron/ironing board way. Actually I seldom iron clothes as R irons his shirts himself.

5. How much baking do you do for Christmas and what are your “must make” items? (I’m looking for recipes here, peeps…)

I  will be baking 2 butterscotch butter cakes for Christmas as requested by my mum. However chocolate chip cookies are “must make” items for the kids to enjoy.

4. To save money I like to plan carefully what needs to be bought each week before making the purchases.

Fun, exciting, chaotic, vibrant, passionate, lovely

1. What in the 2011 has proved to you that you are a survivor?
I managed  to survive all the solo moments that I had handling all the 3 kids in sickness and health while R was frequently away on business trips.

2. Have you ever stayed online for a very long time waiting for someone?

Yes. I have waited a few hours sometimes for R to get online so that we can talk via Skype when he is away on business trips.

3. Are REALLY ready for the holidays?

Yes. I’m done with the Christmas shopping and will be starting on the baking/cooking soon.

4. Did you have an imaginary friend as a kid?  No.

5. What niche network do you watch the most? Cartoon Network.. does that count? The other choice would be Disney Junior as that’s what the kids watch on TV.

6. Have you ever seen the ocean?
Yes. In fact we were just there last week when we visited the Nusa Dua Beach at Bali, Indonesia.

7. Have you ever been hospitalized?

Yes. However it was only for the birth of my three kids.

8. What do you think of the US Republican candidates for president?
No comments on this as I don’t follow the US politics as it doesn’t affect me.
