Jellyfishes are one of the most deadly creatures in the sea. A sting from certain species like the box jellyfish can be fatal and it’s victim may die within minutes or even seconds.
Jellyfish swiming
They have a very unusual way of moving through the water. They are typified as free-swimming marine animals consisting of a gelatinous umbrella-shaped bell and trailing tentacles. It is really interesting to see the bell pulsate as they move about in the tank.
Jellyfish in a tank
They are really amazing sea creatures. Don’t the jellyfishes look almost luminous under the blue lighting?
During the weekend we went to the S.E.A. Aquarium at Resort World Sentosa. It was the 2nd time that the kids visited the place. We visited the Aquarium last month but were not able to view all the exhibits due to the time constrain which we had. This time around we were determined to view as many exhibits as possible.
Viewing the shipwreck
The first exhibit which we saw was the shipwreck at the entrance of the underwater tunnel. Looking at the artifact it reminded me about the story Treasure Island which I read during my childhood.
Yellow Angel Fishes
We saw many different colourful fishes swimming in the tanks. I love the vibrant yellow of these Angel Fish with their bold black stripes on their bodies.
Circular Tank
There were a few circular two story high fish tank exhibits within the aquarium. It was quite difficult to capture a good shot of the tank as it was simply too wide and it was extremely crowded making it hard to get up and close with the tanks.
Dolphins
The dolphins are the latest attraction at the SEA Aquarium. The exhibit recently opened a few weeks back and the kids were thrilled to see the dolphins swimming happily in the tank.
Vibrant Pink Fish
I don’t know what’s the name of this fish but it was the first time that I was seeing pink fish. Tiger girl was ticked pink to see actual pink fish swimming in the tank. Pink is one of her favourite colours and to have fish in pink was certainly awesome!!
Orange Fishes
If pink is not your color then how about these Orange fishes for your fish tank instead? I bet these fishes will look luminous at night given their vibrant color.
What type of fishes would you keep at home?
