Wikki Stix- A Review

Wikki stix

A few weeks ago I received a packet of Wikki sticks or the kids to try out.  For those who haven’t heard about them they are from the USA and basically  flexible  sticky sticks, which you can twist, bend, and join together to create your  own unique piece of art. They feel extremely sticky to the touch when I initially handle it but after some time the stickiness didn’t bother me too much. It was also relatively easy to clean up any impressions left on furniture using a damp cloth.

The stixs came with a instruction sheet with examples of types of designs that you can create with the sticks.  After reading through the instructions I demonstrated  to the kids how to create a stick man using two different coloured Wikki stixs.

Doggie boy trying out the sticks.Doggie boy was the first one to try out the stixs after my demonstration. You can see him here trying to create his own masterpiece.

Tiger girl doing art

Tiger girl wanted to get her hands on some sticks and was eagerly  watching to see how her brothers were making their masterpieces with it so she could follow suit.

their creations

The boys created  Airplanes with their Wikki Stixs.  I love how they added on the details like the engines and tail with using different colours.  It’s amazing what the kids can come up with the stixs in their hands.

Wikki Stixs are certainly mess free and much more friendly to use then traditional playdough.  They really make good filler activities for the kids on a rainy day.

Insane Goals for Sept and Aug Review

Last month I didn’t publish my goals as Rebekah was taking a break. This month I’ll continue with my goal revision and link up if she intends to continue hosting this meme. I feel that it is good to be accountable to myself and to see  how far I have come along with keeping my 2012 resolutions.

I’ve managed to achieve the goals which I defined since Jan EXCEPT the weight lost goal. It’s quite depressing to see that the weight is still around and nothing that I am doing or not doing is helping me.

  1. I am back to 63-64kg instead of continuing to lose weight. All the feasting these few months and doing lesser exercise overall has really backfired on this goal..
  2. There are still many areas in the house which are yet to be de-cluttered and the messes seem never ending!!
  3. I still have books left over from July which I haven’t finished reading. I also received a few more books to add to the “to read” list. I really need to speed up my reading routine.
  4. I still need to exercise more regularly but haven’t been getting around to doing so besides signing up for weekly Zumba classes

What I accomplished in August

  1. I have increased my fan base to about 7400 fans on facebook and 4320 twitter fans giving me a total of more then 10K reach combined.(It has dropped a bit this week or so but I’m hopefully that the numbers will continue to increase.)
  2. Completed my campaign with- Loreal. Added on  a new campaign by Comfort to the ongoing Lifebuoy campaign.
  3. Completed reading 4 books for review, done 7 giveaways and 4 product/service reviews.
  4. De-clutter the kids toy boxes and re organized all their toys.
  5. Done 2 guest post on other blogger’s site.
  6. Done a few new bakes and tried out 2 new cake recipes. Read up and tried making different types of soup for the kids to drink.

Here is are my goals for 2012
