Top 10 Facts on Tiger Girl

寄件者 July-Aug 2011

Since I wrote a 10 facts list on Doggie Boy and Monkey Boy. This week’s focus is on my youngest, Tiger girl.

  1. She just sprouted her 1st tooth a few weeks ago. Now at 10 months old she has 1/2 a teeth emerged from her lower gums.
  2. Loves playing with balls and cubes and the remote control.
  3. Loves posing for the camera and can smile on cue.
  4. Can call “Mummy”, ‘Papa”, Mama”, ” Jie Jie”(sister) , ” Kor Kor” (Brother) and “Ball”. She also knows the directions – “up” and “down”.
  5. Loves eating and trying out new flavours.
  6. Loves playing with water. Her favourite time is bath time.
  7. Knows how to pull to stand and is very nifty with her little hands. (I’m still figuring out how she managed to unbuckle the seat belt of her highchair by herself and ended up standing up on the highchair instead of seating in it yesterday. Luckily she didn’t fall off and hurt herself as she remained in the highchair and called out for me to “rescue” her instead)
  8. Adores her elder brothers and can’t wait to be old enough so she can play with them.
  9. Is still on breast milk but is supplemented with 3 semi-solid meals.
  10. Is the only sibling with curly hair as the boys have straight hair.

Sweet Shot Day Top Ten {Tuesday}

Tackling the 1st Week of Holidays- 10 things to get done.

Monkey boy and Tiger Girl showing some sibling love.

It’s really hard to get both of them looking at the camera at the same time. As you can see from the short photo story above they are more interested in watching the television then to pay attention to me on the camera.

School is out and I’m busy then ever with both Monkey Boy and Tiger girl hanging around me 24/7. I’m really racking my brain thinking of stuff  to keep the kids meaningfully occupied .

Here is my list of 10 things to be done this week.

  1. Visiting  the Dentist.

I have scheduled for the kids and me to visit the during the school break. It’s part of their 6 monthly check up to see if everyone’s teeth is in good shape and that no new cavities have been added this year. Monkey boy is sprouting his first permanent tooth and may have to have his baby tooth extracted to make space for the new teeth.

  2. Clear the laundry and ironing.

The clothes have been piling up lately as I had been preoccupied with the house renovation. Now that the renovations are all over I need to start on de-cluttering the other room in the house where the laundry has been stashed.

  3. Packing our luggage.

We will be heading  for our week long vacation next week. It will be the first time that I will be taking all 3 kids overseas. I hope that I remember to pack everything for the four of us.

  4. Complete my Book Reviews.

I have yet to get down to drafting some post and complete reading the books which I received the past month. Hopefully I’ll be able to get them cleared and scheduled for posting next week.

  5. Upgrading from cot to bed.

Tiger Girl needs an upgrade from her baby cot to a single bed. She keeps banging against the side of the cot when she sleeps and wakes up when it happens. I’m hoping with the additional  space that she has she will be able to sleep better. I remember back then when  Doggie baby was a young baby we switched him from a cot to a bed at 6 months old.

  6. Complete my short series on preparing for Primary 1.

I’ll be taking a short break from my normal post schedule as we will be on holidays next week and I’m not sure whether the place that we are going to has internet connect. Anyway it has been a long time since I posted a short series. Many friends have been asking me to write a series on how to prepare their kid for Primary One. Now that Monkey boy has completed 1 semester in Primary One I feel that I’ll be able to give them a clearer picture of what to expect when their kid comes of age.

  7. Have a Kid Baking Session.

It has been quite awhile since I have done any baking with the boys. I’m thinking of doing muffins and cookies with them this week. They have requested that we make chocolate chips muffins and cookies as these are their favourite bakes.

  8. Purchase a new cake mixer.

I have been wanting a new professional looking cake mixer for the longest time. I’m still researching on whether to get a Kitchen Aid or a Kenwood. ( I love the bright colours of the Kitchen Aid but there has been rather mixed reviews about it). There will be a sale on for KA mixers this weekend and the prices are  really tempting.

  9. Go to the money changer

I need to get  my money changed for next week trip. Time to convert some Singapore Dollars to Ringgit.

  10. Put the Homeschooling schedule into practice.

Even though we are on our month long holiday  Monkey Boy still has holiday homework and  I want to work with him on areas which he may find challenging- English and Chinese Composition writing.

What do you have scheduled to be
completed this week?
