Stream of Consciousness Sunday: October Madness

#SOCsunday

It has been a rather busy week with relatives in town for a visit. It was really great meeting up with SIL as I haven’t seen her for the past 4.5 years.  The last time she came down for a visit was when Doggie boy was born. This time she specially made a trip over from the USA to see Tiger Girl.   The kids really love having their aunt around and bonded with her almost immediately.  We are hoping when the kids are much older we will be able to  bring them over to USA to visit her one day.

I’ve been looking at the calendar and feeling really short of time. The year 2011 is coming to a close in about three months time and there are still so many things to be done.
I’ve yet to really learn and add new dishes to my cooking repretoire, the Japanese cirriculumn is still undone as I get sidetracked as I focus more on English and Mandarin with them.

Another factor is that there is simply too many holidays in October. The kids had 1.5 days off this week. They will be having another 4 days due to PSLE marking and 1 more day due to Deepavali. That’s a grand total of 6.5days SCHOOL FREE days which I have to plan alternatives for.  It will certainly be eating into my scheduled time for activities which I had earlier plan to complete on my own based on my October goals.. talk about plans fizzling into smoke!!
