Viewing the Uniqlo Winter Collection 2016

Fall/ Winter 2016 - Uniqlo

Fall/ Winter 2016 – Uniqlo

Last  Friday Tiger girl and Doggie boy had a very different experience. It was the first time that they attended a fashion event.

We were invited to the launch of Fall/Winter collection by Uniqlo and were excited to see what new pieces there were at the event.

It felt like we were walking through a  Uniqlo store  but more roomy with models parading a selection of clothes.

From Essentials to Work to Sports, Travel and Playtime there were clothes for each different purpose.

The kids clothes section

This was Tiger girl’s favourite section- The Kids section. had some really cute winter clothes. A pity that the kids have outgrown most of the sizes available and the boys are in between their largest kids size and the smallest size for an adult male.

There were also collaboration pieces with designers like Carine Roitfeld  who is famous in her feminine minimalist approach to styling for busy women, including her signature leopard, tiger, and botanical motifs.

This leopard print jacket caught Tiger girl’s eye. She wanted to purchase it but unfortunately it was firstly not for sale nor was there one in her size that was available.

Tiger girl did find something her size however it will only be sold in the shops in a few months time.  She will have to wait patiently till we be able to purchase it.

Highlights of July 2016

Chocolate popsicles

Chocolate popsicles

July was a month filled with Chocolate.  It was the first time that I attended a Chocolate making workshop.  Chocolate making is not as easy as it seems and there is a lot of science to making the best tasting chocolate for consumption.

It was all things sweet as I completed my ACTA course and am now a certified trainer and assessor. This qualification has enhance my teaching qualifications and expanded my scope in the range of subjects and ages that I can mentor to.

Capturing moments with the kids is what I try deliberately to do. They are certainly growing up so fast that if I don’t capture these moments on film, it would be gone forever.

We had many fun moments trying out different foods. It really gets much easier when the kids get older as they get more adventurous with foods.   Their immunity is stronger and their taste buds change making them more receptive to the various flavours and different type so food that is available here in Singapore.

If you have noticed I have been blogging much lesser this year as I concentrate more on activities off the blog.  I’m taking it slow in this space as I concentrate more on personal development and spending more time with the kids developing their ability  in academics, music, character development and personal resilience.

How was your month of July?
