Yakiniku on a Friday

The platter

The platter

Last month while on holidays in Japan we had the chance to savor their premium beef at one of the restaurants which we patronized.  It has been quite awhile since I have had BBQ as the kids don’t really eat meat.

We ordered a selection of meats and even chicken for the kids as we wanted to let them taste a variety of different barbecued items.

This practically melts in your mouth when you eat it. The taste was simply heavenly.

Have you had Yakiniku lately?

Homemade Cleaners by Mandy O’Brien and Dionna Ford

Homemade Cleaners: Quick-and-Easy, Toxin-Free Recipes to Replace Your Kitchen Cleaner, Bathroom Disinfectant, Laundry Detergent, Bleach, Bug Killer, Air Freshener, and more… by Mandy O’Brien and Dionna Ford is a book which shows you how easy it is to make your own cleaning detergent.

You only need the basic ingredients- distilled white vinegar, borax, baking soda, castile soap to make many different combinations of cleaners. Adding essential oils will also make it an excellent insect repellent and disinfectant.

You do not need to go for store bought cleaners which are laden with toxins and made with chemicals. They are not only costly and are harmful to your health in the long run.

My thoughts

I didn’t know that it was so easy to make your own homemade cleaners. I’m certainly going to try to make my own cleaners to make my place more eco-friendly and toxic free.
