BELIEBER: Fame, Faith and the Heart of Justin Bieber

Belieber!: Faith, Fame, and the Heart of Justin Bieber by Catherine Falsani is the first book I have read about the teenage sensation Justin Bieber.
I have heard about Justin from my ex-students who I taught at music class in school. The songs Baby and Never Say Never were constantly sung by the students and they seem to never get tired of singing them. He has a nice singing voice an a great persona for a teenager.
Catheleen’s book on the Canadian superstar, Justin Bieber is more of an autobiography based on a Christian perspective. It documents Justin life from birth to a unwed single mother and how her faith has helped shaped her son’s values and dreams.
Being born into a musical family Justin has had music all around him. He to like his dad self taught himself the piano and guitar. He was always interested in music and through the youtube videos which his mom posted on him singing he was “discovered” at age 13. It all took off from there and his success as a singer has been phenomenal.
A majority part of the book documents how Justin broke into the music scene and how his mom has been his pillar of strength in his faith. She has been guiding him faithfully in the teaching of GOD. By introducing her son into her. There is many quotations from the bible and reported incidents on how by relying on faith Justin and his mum came to decisions that helped in his growth of his music career.
Justin Bieber believes in paying -it -forward by supporting a handful of charities now that he has “made it” as a successful singer. I only know a handful of successful singers who actually do that.
I personally found the book rather draggy with lots of fluff from tweets mentioned. I can see how great his mom’s faith influenced him and his decision. There seems to be too much focus on his mom whereby there should be more on him. I feel that this book would be a better read if there was more mentioned about how his faith has influenced his life and music from his own perspective rather then his mom’s.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of Belieber!: Faith, Fame, and the Heart of Justin Bieber for review purposes. Opinions are 100% my own.

Wow you got a free copy – how lucky!
TBH Twitter is a big part of who Justin is – from what I can gather, and if you watch the NEVERSAYNEVER DVD will you see that it was twitter that really pushed him forward. He is a lovely lad who always has time for his fans and he really gave me the inspiration to keep trying and why I started my blog.

@pinkoddy,
I haven’t watched the DVD you mentioned but have seen Justin on action during his cameo appearance on GLEE. Yes.. he is big on twitter but reading through more then 10 pages of tweets in the book made it boring for me. Great to know that he inspired you to start your own blog.

Hmm yes I can see how 10 pages of tweets could be boring – on the film the tweets bit happen so fast that you don’t actually got to read them all.
