Moms Q & A Site

This week  ResourcefulMom had a site warming party for the new site Mamapedia This site features questions and answers from questions by Moms. It covers topics like  activities and lessons, family and parenting, beauty etc.

I’ve just joined the sister site –Momsource . It is another place where I can post any questions that I wish to get recommendations/ suggestions by other mothers.

Another Q & A site is MomsWorld. You can scroll through the lists of questions and give your suggested answers. You can also pose your question to the moderator of that site and get answers when it is being posted.

Momapreneurs

MommyCommunity is another place which I visited this week. There are weekly Tuesday Toots meme and articles on parenting.

Marie is giving away a FREE  E-book on the  Reality of Working Moms

Kelby’s Type-A-Mom site which features articles written by moms of various ages and stages.

You can sign up and start contributing articles to her site to get more exposure back to your own blog.

MomDotcom– a online Mom’s Magazine which is focused on various Mom issues. There are contests and giveaways held there regularly also.

10 Definitions on being a Mommy

My Definition of a Mommy

  1. Someone who willing sacrifice time, sleep and beauty to attend to the needs of her young ones. [However knows when to have some downtime for recharging herself when the need arises]
  2. Someone who nourishes both your body and soul with love, knowledge and understanding.
  3. Someone who will go all out to learn/read up on courses/techniques that would be beneficial to the academic and emotional growth of their child.
  4. A playmate, confident, adviser, fix- it-up, cook, decorator, cleaner and educator.
  5. Easily satisfied with appreciation or a smile from your child.
  6. Can make 360 degree turn in attitude and react fast to new situations.
  7. A fire -fighter and problem solver on a daily basis.
  8. Planner, budget and time manager for the family.
  9. Someone who is able to multi-task and perform under tight schedules and multiple deadlines.
  10. A person who takes care of the household, family,relationships with the extended family.

This year is the 6th year that I will be celebrating Mother’s Day. As I age and the kids grow older I realise that the role of a mommy is much more challenging then I have expected. However I look forward to all the challenges hurled at me as the boys move through the various stages in life.
