Writer’s Workshop- The Perfect Summer

Mama's Losin' It

This week on Writer’s Workshop I will be writing on Prompt #5-

What five images paint a perfect picture of summer to you? Put those five images together in a piece of writing.

If there was a Perfect Summer  day it would start with having waffles with maple syrup and fruits for breakfast.

After breakfast it would be great to have a morning stroll in a “storybook” garden.  It would be nice to breathe in the various scents and enjoy the beauty of the garden.  The kids would love playing ball in the park and riding their bikes.

After time in the park it would be nice to sit down to an ice-cold drink and some lunch/brunch .

After lunch it will be time to hit the malls for a bit of shopping. The kids would love a visit to their favourite toy store Toysrus and I wouldn’t mind picking up a few items for myself in the process.

The day would be perfect if  while making our way back home we could be able to stop and watch the sunset.

What would your perfect summer day
look like?

TT- Setting up the Nursery

This week I have been busy taking out the baby clothes that we had purchased earlier on in the year to wash. I also went through Roy’s old clothes and tossed out those that were too worn to be re-used by R3.

After sorting out the clothes I realized that most of the clothes we got are for 6-12mths old as we were afraid of buying too small a size and R3 would outgrow quickly.

I remember both Ryan and Roy were up to 5kg after 1 month after birth. I estimate that R3 should be around the same size/weight  as she is roughly about 2.7kg now about 3 weeks before the delivery date.  The gyane estimates that she would be between 3.5-3.7kg on birth. We will have to wait and see if his estimate is accurate.

The hospital bag  is in the midst of being packed and the other baby items being sorted out and cleaned.

The baby cot has already been set up and new bedsheets have been purchased.

The next thing on the list will be purchasing the nursing wear which I would need after her birth.
