My little girl and me

For those of you who are dropping by for the 1st time via UBP 2011 here’s a brief introduction to this site- From Dominique’s Desk.

I’m a mom of 3 ( 2 boys and a girl) who is currently on NPL from my job as an elementary school teacher to take care of the kids.

I write about what I feel passionate about which are  mainly my kids and  education. Do feel free to browse our archives to see what I’ve been up to writing from my desk.

Feel free to sign our linky and drop me a comment if you are hopping by from the Ultimate Blog Party 2011.

What I know for Sure

It has been six months since I have been promoted to a mom of 3. It has been less hectic than I have expected and I can proudly say that I am managing fine with the 3 kids.

Being there to watch them grow up I have noticed lots of similarities and the differences between mothering boys and girls.

I know for a fact that.

  1. My kids are super active and really don’t need to sleep.

I’ve given up chasing them off to bed for a nap or to bed early at night.  Another thing is that they are all light sleepers and wake up really easily…especially the baby.

  2. Girls are more into food then boys.

I don’t remember the boys being so happy and start squealing and laughing when they see food being placed on the table. It’s really fascinating seeing the 6mth old light up like a light bulb and going “mummum…mummum” when she sees her bowl and cup being placed
    on the table.

  3. I’ve always wanted my girl to have curly hair and dimples.

I guess it is by GOD’s faith that she turned out exactly as I wanted. The boys have straight hair but her’s is curly. She has slight dimples on both sides when she smiles. They are not as clear as Monkey boy who has really deep set dimples.

  4. I will never regret putting my family 1st.

It’s bad enough having so many things to cope with at work. The worst is that they do not appreciate what you do for the company and are extremely eager to work you to the bones.  Even your best efforts maybe written off as expected and they constantly expect miracles from you.

I’m glad that now work is taking a back burner while I focus all my energies where they are most needed and appreciated.

What do you know for sure?
