Writer’s Workshop: Best Food Place
A branch of the Ship Restaurant which we visited in Penang.
This branch was actually located inside a SHIP!!
We used to go to The Ship Restaurant when I was a kid. I remember back then I was still in school we had our meals at The Ship quite often during the weekends. I love the steaks and other western cuisine which they had at the restaurant.
I love the steaks and the rich onion soup. The deco inside the restaurant was really different from most places which I have been. It was also a real treat to have steak and eat out in a fine dining restaurant.
In the Ship restaurant there were ship bells and actual size steering wheels which one could turn. There were many different nautical charts and signs plastered all over the restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were also dressed in nautically inspired uniforms. It feels like you have been transported to another world while you dine at that place.
Unfortunately we do not really go to the Ship to dine nowadays as the kids are not really into steak and heavy 3-4 course meals for lunch/dinner. They rather go and have their favourite sushi or udon at the Japanese restaurant.
