Want a slice of cake?

The past few days I had been busy with this mini bake project of mine. It has been quite a while since I last baked something and this year I decided on baking her a cake instead of buying one. It took me 2hrs to bake the chocolate cake and another 3 hours to make the fondant and decorate it.

The fondant layer didn’t turn out as well as I expected. I attribute it to my inexperience and the high humidity here in Singapore. I am still learning how to improve my baking skills and have enrolled myself for the Wilton Cake Decoration course. Hopefully will be able to do nicer designs when I have graduated from the course. 🙂

TH really enjoyed the cake and was touched by the gesture.
