Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

Nine years ago  we took our wedding vows and walked down the alse at the Sacred Heart Church. A lot has changed since that faithful day in 2001.

  1. The church as been revamped recently and is fully  airconditioned and decorated.  There is also a new 7 and 1/2 storey building that was recently completed which houses additional carpark spaces and  rooms for worship.
  2. We have expanded our family from two to five with the additions of two boys and a girl.
  3. Have a better understanding of each other and am constantly learning how to function better as parents.
  4. We are much older now and have learned  at lot through trial and error.

How has live evolved for you through marriage?

Before I was a Mom

Mama's Losin' It

Today I will be writing on Prompt No 2 – Before  I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom….

– I could have uninterrupted sleep every night and sleep in on the weekends.

– Have a much shorter “to complete” list to get through every day.

– Need not have to share my food with my kids when we go out. ( I still do not get it why food on my plate seems so much  more appealing then what they have ordered for themselves)

– Worried much lesser about our financial situation and our financial standing in future.

– The floor was so much cleaner as it was not scattered with toys as often as it is now. The house was much neater too.

– Had a much better looking body and need not have to desperately try to lose the baby weight after each birth.

– could travel alone with R and need not have to pack so many things along. Now with three kids  most holidays have to be planned with them in mind.

– Had much more free $$ to spend as and when I wished.

– Could have my own car to drive around and need not have to worry about sending the kids to school and fetching them on time.

– I did not do as much cooking and baking as I am doing currently.

Even though there are so many things which I had to give up and added responsibilities that have come along with motherhood it is still one of the best things that have happened to me. I never regretted my decision to become a mother.
