Meet me on Monday- 1st week of Feb

Every Monday Java sets 5 questions to answer. These are the questions that she has asked this week.

Questions:

1.  Did you watch the Superbowl?

No. I’m not into that sport and it is not really shown here where I am.

2.  What is the last book that you read?
This is a re-read for me as I’m looking to prepare some yummy dishes for  the baby as she is now 4.5months old. There is a lot of information in this book about the different types of food and its health benefits.
3.  What is your favorite kind of cake?

I like chocolate cake and 3D cakes. Here is one that I did for Christmas three years ago. I haven’t been doing many 3D cakes since I went back to work full time after Roy entered childcare.

4.  Do you snore? No
5.  Do you play an instrument? Yes

I play two main instruments- the violin and the piano. However I do know how to play the organ, xylophone, recorder  and most percussion instruments.

Are you Insured for Death?

Death is a subject which is regarded as taboo in many communities. Many people shun talking or even planning about it unless they are faced with a terminal disease.

Burial Insurance is something which you can consider to cover all the unexpected cost in the event of untimely death.  Everything is more costly now with the skyrocketing inflation rates. It may come as a shock to you when you realize that you may not have enough money set aside for a decent burial.

Recalling the time when my grandfather passed  away ,five years ago, there were so many things that had to be done. We had to book the funeral parlor at the church, engage the service of a funeral manager and inform all the relevant authorities.  Even though we did have a collection from well wishes and the various organisations which  my grandfather was member of there were certain expenditure which we had to pay up upfront.

Luckily for him he did have funeral insurance for seniors The amount received from the insurance payout helped to cover most of the costs we incurred. There was also a bit left over for grandmother to help in her daily expenditure.

AARP.Org is one place where you can get lots of information on grief and lost. There are many informative articles telling you on how you can cope with your grief. There are online  support groups where you can get some solace from your grief. I only got to know that site recently. It would helped me a lot back then to help me overcome my grief.
