Tackling life- Taking it slow.

Life as it is move faster then a speeding Masarati. Sometimes I get so caught up in my work and interests that it simply stresses me out and wears me thin. The past week I have been re-arranging my priorities. It has always been centered around the family  however I never really broken it down into bite size chunks which I could focus on.

I have resolved to spend some time each week to reflect on the gifts that GOD have given me. To appreciate the things which I sometimes take for granted and to consider how I can improve my relationship with my kids and spouse.

This week we will be sitting down and trying to draft out our family mission statement.

What are you tackling this week?

What is your Mothering Style?

I’m a “Give ‘Em Their Space” Mother!

(Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving)

Non-intrusive and respectful of differences, I give my children the personal space they need to develop as separate, self-sufficient individuals.

What’s your mothering personality type? Take the MotherStyles quiz at FamilyEducation.com!

I took this quiz today as I was interested to find out what was my mothering style. The results was really interesting. While peaking around at FamilyEducation .com the related article stated that my weakness were

  • Handling Domestic Chores does not appeal to me.
  • Finding it hard being emotionally supportive to my child
  • I find it difficult to ask personal questions.

I dispute these facts as personally it doesn’t apply to me. When the need arises I don’t think that I will shy away being emotionall supportive and probe into the lives of my children to help to make their life better.  Handling domestic chores is not something that I really fancy but having to do so doesn’t bother me. I don’t find it difficult fixing meals and being creative at mealtime. As so I feel that the boys eat much more and healthier at home then outside.
