Tiger girl- One going on Two

Tiger girl posing

Time really passes so fast. In two weeks time my little girl will be turning two. It is amazing the speed of development in a child from one to two. Looking back at old pictures of her when she was celebrating her first birthday she has matured and grown a lot since then. Last year around this time she only could speak a few words and now she is speaking in full sentences and able to get her wants and needs understood by others.

Tiger girl not only speaks to us in English but also in Mandarin and Cantonese. She is able to count  from  1 to 10 in all 3 languages like her brothers were doing at this age.  She is able to self feed herself using both the fork and spoon and currently learning how to use the trainer chopsticks which we got her. She is really progressing at a rapid rate  and I’m amazed daily at her growing abilities.

My little girl is really growing up fast!!

Top 10 Things About my Car

the car

This is the 4th car new  which we bought since we got married.  Back then in 2008 we wanted to get an economical Japanese car to accommodate our growing family. We  decided on a seven seater so that the car could easily accommodate all the car seats that we may need in our car.

  1. It’s a Toyota and cost lesser to maintain then some fancy Eurpoean car.
  2. It’s a really cool shade of light green (Doggie boy’s favourite colour)
  3. It’s really economical and we can get about 450km on a full tank of 40L of petrol.
  4. It gets everyone where they want to be in the morning and saves me time/money having to fork out extra to arrange for school buses for the younger kids.
  5. The third row seats fold flat under the 2nd row so that it’s possible to stack in 3 kiddy bikes when we go out to the park.
  6. I like the flexibility that it gives me to bring the kids out to places to where I would like to bring them. It would be really chaotic to bring all of them out by public transport without anyone helping out.
  7. I like the fact that there are cup holders for each seat and a space to put my handbag next to me when I am driving.
  8. There are little pockets all around where you can place toys/books for the kids to keep them occupied in the car. ( No TV or handheld games are allowed while the car is in motion).
  9. It has sliding doors so it is easy to get the kids out even if we park in tight spots.
  10. My mom has the exact same car as mine but in a different colour.

How is your car like?
