Writer’s Workshop: Keeping Track of July
Our Family Photo
July has certainly whizzed pass us. The past month the kids were back in school and I had been kept busy with their new routine. Monkey boy has been selected for intensive badminton practice in school and has to go for CCA twice a week. That means 4hrs of practice with the coach weekly.
After spending a whole month on holiday everyone needed to get into high gear again. Fortunately the kids were quite adaptable and there wasn’t any back to school blues for them.
The boys dressed as firefighters
We visited the Central Fire Station. and the kids got to see how the fire engine had evolved over the ages.

The boys waiting to go on the Gondola
The kids had a fun afternoon enjoying themselves at Drypers Day out. The went on the bouncy castle and the Gondola ride while at the event.

Tiger girl enjoying her first manicure and pedicure
Tiger girl had her first manicure and pedicure at the grand old age of TWO. Kids nowadays are really privileged!! I have to wait till I was working before I had my first manicure and it was done just before the wedding 12 years ago.

Celebrating Great Grandma’s 88th birthday
This was a month of birthday celebrations and the kids enjoyed themselves blowing off the candles on Great Grandma’s birthday cake.

My Mum and Me
We celebrated my mum’s 64th birthday too this July with a simple dinner. She ordered her favourite Escagot which she hasn’t eaten in awhile.

Prata and Curry
The kids have been having their fair share of yummy prata. It is the Indian dish which all 3 kids love to eat. I personally prefer eating Thosai to having prata. Paper Thoasai is my absolute favourite.

Baking Pizza and making pudding
The kids and I have been doing more cooking at home as part of their holisitic learning experience. We used milk and cheese from Greenfields to make some yummy foods.
How was your July?

What busy time you have all had. My July was busy travelling up and down to my visit my partner. I also had major neck surgery and said a tearful goodbye to my Godmother so for me July was not great until the end when we celebrated my youngest grandsons christening

Badminton! It was the hubby’s and my ECA back in school days, the sport that eventually brought us together. Sounds like Monkey boy is going to be our future national badminton star! =) Great highlights you have there and isn’t nice to look back at every month and think about all those fun times we had? Thanks for taking the time to reminisce and to link up too! =)

My July went by with a lot of challenges as well. I’ve seen 2 good friends passed on. Overall, all is good. 🙂 Thanks! You got a full July yourself. Am really curious about little girls getting nail pampering. Is it advisable?
