Imperfect Shots
Last week I tried to get a picture of the kids to make a cover photo for this year’s Christmas card. Try as I might it was simply really difficult to get all of their attention at the same time.
I didn’t lug my DSLR out and had to make do with my HTC camera phone. The shutter speed is a tad too slow for my liking and this was the best shot I got that morning when we were were out at the airport for breakfast. I guess I will have to try again this week or just rely on creative photography using photoshop to make the Christmas card.
Have you done your Christmas card yet?

It’s better to take pictures of kids using DSLR than any other camera with low shutter speed. 🙂

@January,
I agree but it’s hard to bring out the DSLR with the kids solo. It’s too heavy for me to lug around + carry the diaper bag + two yr old girl and chase after her two brothers. 🙂

Isn’t it funny how we have cameras on our cellphones that we use way more than the fancy one and then complain about the slow shutter speed? LOL! My son is almost always looking away when the shutter clicks. But I love your photos – too cute. We haven’t done ours yet. I always like to wait until my Thanksgiving bloat has gone down.

I know what that feels like, trying to get them all to look. I was trying to get a picture of mine a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t go to well. I have to say, the older ones need to learn to keep looking at me, so when the baby finally looks the other two are still looking. Is very frustrating

I think the last picture will make a really cute Christmas card. And no, I haven’t sent my cards out yet, but I have finished with all my shopping.

Good thing that we had camphones right now, although not as good as the real cam but it definitely helps.

That’s also my problem with my Henry. I can’t take a good picture of him. I hope this doesn’t mean I have to have a dlsr to take a photo. He moves so fast.

we don’t send out cards with a family photo. maybe it’s not to late for our family though. hehe. Specially now that we have my little nephew. But as for me, I’m using the Asia ACTs cards to send out this year. 🙂

It’s always tricky to get a good shot when the pressure is on! I saw an idea online, where someone made photo-booth-like props for their kids – santa beards, red Rudolph nose etc (just one each) and they took photos while they were having fun with them. Just an idea:)
Thanks for sharing,
Kristina

LOL – They don’t do Christmas card photos here in New Zealand, so it’s easy for us. Besides, it’s summer. The shots are fun, even if not exactly what you want. Thanks for linking up.

I rely completely on my phone camera just because it’s so easy to get it onto my computer!
