Resolutions for 2010- Readers Survey

Christmas is just around the corner. It is time to tidy up and plan for the coming 2010.  As the year draws to an end I would like to ask my beloved readers to take part in this short poll on what they would like to see here on Dominique’s Desk in the coming year. I’m really blessed to have such great company from my readers and commenter’s here.  I really enjoy interacting with everyone who visits me here.

Weekend Reflections- Spending Time

This past week I have been spending a lot of time with R.

It has been some time since we last went on a kid free holiday. It felt so carefree and relax as I need not need to lug around extra luggage and carry the boys (especially Roy) when they get tired.  Lugging a 14kg toddler is not something that I fancy as it would mean an aching back and arms. It also will relate to me being unable to do any shopping or spending time chatting with my friends in a cafe.

It is great to be able to sleep in and not be constantly interrupted during the night by Roy waking up and I having to go over to pacify him or him climbing into bed with us.

I have the opportunity to walk hand in hand with R browsing through window displays and talking about the plans that we have for ourselves as a couple and as a family.

When is the last time you spend time together without the kids?

TT- Combining Sites

I have been tackling with the idea of how to traffic to both my sites- From Dominique’s Desk and Savy Hip Parentpreneur. It has been tiring trying to promote both sites and spreading equal love between the two.

In the end I decided to combine both the sites  so I only need to work on driving traffic to one domain – www.dominiquegoh.com

By combining the sites I need only to target my focus on one site and do all the marketing for it.

As of today Savy Hip Parentpreneur is no more. It has been renamed and shifted over to Learning With Dominique.

I feel that this picture header is a better representation of the site  and its focus.

It also gives me the opportunity to launch other learning programs via this site  in the near  future.

Weekend Reflections- A New Meme

This weekend I am deciding to start something new. I am starting a new Meme of mine called Weekend Reflections

Why I am starting this meme?

Since returning back to full time work this year and starting on a new journey of self- discovery I decided to spend the weekends reflecting on the highs and lows of each week. The weekend is the time where one should take it easy and relax. It is also the time to ponder on whether one has achieved what was set out to complete within the week and review on what could be taken out or improved on.
