Hibiscus in Taiwan

The hibiscus is one of the flowers that I love to photograph. I didn’t manage to take many pictures of hibiscuses  when I  was in Taiwan in April however during the recent trip in June I managed to see many in full bloom.

It must have been hibiscus season as there were many in full bloom all over the theme park ( Lipao Land)  that we visited.

The red hibiscus is a common sight where I live however it was the first time that I saw one that huge at a close range.

It was really nice to see so many different blooms within the park. It was really great to be able to have visual and also emotional experiences when we were at a theme park.

Have you been capturing blooms lately?

  1. It’s interesting how different they look. The pink, yellow and first orange look like the ones that grow around here in New Zealand. The area I live in is nick named the Hibiscus Coast. You would love it here.

  2. Hi there Dominique! What lovely photographs. The Hibiscus is one of my favourite flowers. They grow really, really well here in Brisbane, Australia. We have quite a few growing around our home! 🙂

  3. Beautiful captures. This flower has a lot of variety, but its the layered one that is my favorite.

  4. The photos bring back memories from childhood…from making bubbles to pasting the parts of the flower for a school assignment.
