Writer’s Workshop: Just been Drinking

A cup of Tea

Tea, Coffee, Milk, Juice? The choices are really astronomical if you think about it.  You can mix and  match and even create your own unique quenching blend to suit your taste buds or your mood for the day.  One is only limited by his creativity and willingness to try out something new which may/may not taste great.

What  should I drink?

A cup of green tea
A cup of green tea

I personally love drinking green tea  and have a wide range of green teas and tea blends in the kitchen cupboard.  Silvermoon, Geisha Blossom and Place Vendome are the  premium green teas that I have from TWG that line the top shelf of that cupboard. They are my go to green teas when we have guest over.  On other days I normally

Besides hot green tea I also love drinking  ice-cold green tea to quench my thirst on a hot day.   I also love the green tea latte or ice blended green tea which they serve at some restaurants which we patronize on the weekend.

I’m lucky that most of the places which we go to when we dine out do serve ice green tea or jasmine green tea.  They are my go to drinks when  I am out.

If green tea is not available I will opt  for a glass of lemonade or honey lemon as my 2nd choice.  I love the bitterness of the sweetness of honey and the bitter after taste from the lemon mixed together.  If there isn’t lemon I will opt for Lime juice instead.

Even though I do love my teas  I ensure that I drink at least 8 glasses  water on a daily basis to remain hydrated.  Sometimes I do add slices  of lemon to my pitcher of water to make it a more refreshing drink.

What have you drunk lately?

  1. I am a water fanatic. On occasion I will have tea with honey. Every day I have a protein shake made with almond milk but water is my main drink.

  2. I believe green tea falls just under black tea in the caffeine height level. It is good for you though and lately, I stepped down a notch from 4 minimum cups of coffee a day to just green tea.

  3. Now that the lemons are yellow again on our tree, I’ve taken to drinking a cup of warm water with juice from a lemon. I’d like to drink coffee but that no longer agrees with me. Bummer.

  4. I want to drink lemonade and a pitcher of water. Lemonade is rich in vitamin c, a very vital nutrient that is so important for the body. Water is a great help for body’s function normally.

  5. i love some good lemonade but can’t have all the sugar so it’s usually more like crystal light 🙂

  6. I love Green tea for sure as it increases fat burning and improves physical performance as well. Green tea with a bit of Lemon juice mixed over it, is a real boost to help yourself refreshed in few minutes time.

  7. I love coffee with coconut milk in the morning. And vanilla. I do drink teas during the day, mostly non-caffeine herbal varieties. I drink a lot of bottled water. From glass bottles only, the purest I can find. And in the evenings I sometimes drink a glass of wine. Though lately I haven’t been feeling like it.

  8. I’ve been drinking strong coffee (about 1-2 teaspoon instant coffee per cup) together with my breakfast. For now, as much as possible, I want to try reducing intake of softdrinks.

  9. I definitely have a pattern of drink: Coffee in the morning, water with lunch, and hot tea (in winter) at night. But I really don’t drink enough liquids… {:-D

  10. I have to admit I to love green tea but I mostly drink coffee. I would like to start drink more green tea and I know it is healthier or that is my believe. The lemon and honey in water actually sounds really good. Thanks for sharing.

  11. I’m trying really hard to be better about what I drink. I have a bit of a soda addiction…so I’ve been trying lots of different teas to get a healthier caffeine fix!
