Shiraito Falls at Karuizawa
The falls
Shiraito Falls, north of Karuizawa, Japan has one of the most interesting waterfalls which I have seen. The waterfall is 3 Meters high and spread out over 70 meters wide arch.
Tiger girl posing for a photograph
This location is very popular with couples taking their wedding photos. The background set the romantic mood for a memorable photo session.
Another view of the waterfall
The waterfall looks good from all angles . Doesn’t the above picture look like something that you would see on a postcard?
The falls
There was a signboard at the side of the waterfall. It would have been nice if there was an English translation to what was written on the board so that the kids and I could know what was written on it.
Have you been to any waterfalls lately?

Beautiful photos. The nicest waterfall that I have seen was in Maui. It was like the ones you would see in a romance film.
Photos are nice, however, one must experience the shower curtain effect while actually being inside these amazing waterfalls~
Thank you for the trip down memory lane~
Have an awesome day~

There’s a signboard with English, Chinese and Korean translation installed around 2010. It’s location at the platform on the left of the signboard (should be around 20 steps).
The information other than the measurement you’ve mentioned. It also stated that the water keep running even in the winter time. The water you see was the rain 6 years ago from Mount Asama. Due to the volcano activity, the water temperature at the winter time is 11.8 degrees.

@Ray,
thanks for the information. I guess with the kids sometimes it is hard to spot the information boards. I do hope to visit the place again one day.
