10 Things I am looking forward to in 2014
A Picture of Serenity
2014 is a year of change for everyone in the family . There are so many new things to look forward to and it is really exciting anticipating these 10 things.
(In no particular order)
1. R getting his bike licence. He is currently learning how to ride a motorcycle and aims to get his licence by year end. With the licence he has an option to get a bike if necessary as I will be running around lot more with the family car as the kids get older and have more activities which they are participating in.
2. Tiger girl being able to swim a short distance without support/floats. She just started her swimming lessons at YMCA and loving it.
3. Me getting back to my targeted weight of 60kg. I have started a new exercise routine with my personal trainer W and aim to exercise at least 3 times a week during my lunchtime break.
4. Holiday with the family. We are still planning on which country to bring the kids to as they are wanting to visit  a water theme park and go on some extreme rides like the one we went to in Phuket, Thailand  back in 2012.
5. Monkey boy passing his Grade 4 Piano Practical exam. It would be a bonus if he does receive a merit or distinction. The last time he took a Piano Practical exam was two years ago for Grade 2 and he scored a distinction then.
6. Both Monkey boy and Doggie boy being able to engage in a game of badminton with me. I intend to play the sport more often with the boys if the weather permits.
7. Me finding the path that God wants me to be on and fully understanding his plans for me.
8. Crossing out all my monthly goals and to-do-lists.
9. Upgrading my phone from the present HTC to a better camera phone. (Maybe I will get a iPhone 5s like R’s)
10. Both boys actively helping out and cooking in the kitchen so that I can delegate one weekday to them and only have to cook for the remaining 4 weekdays.
What are you looking forward to in 2014?

Boy that’s a long list of things to look forward to. Mine is simple. I am looking forward to getting married on April 6th and spending as much time as I can with my terminally ill Mom.

Nice family-focused list paired with a lovely photo. My own list is rather like Anita-Clare’s. Simple. Write. Publish. Cherish each day with family and friends. Quilt when I can. May you have a very good 2014.

I don’t think we will ever understand God plans for us, but that “He will give us a hope and a future”, because it is He who said “I know the plans I have for you”. 🙂 We just tap unto God’s faithfulness and trust in Him! Have a blessed year sister-in-Christ.

Good luck in conquering new passions and passing current challenges. I’m sure with this goals 2014 would be more structured.

Wow, to me, that’s a big list! You are one of the most organised persons that I know of and with 3 kids! 🙂 I can vouch for the photo quality of iPhone 5 and I think that it is great that the boys are able to help you in the kitchen. Well done!

I love #7. That for me, as well. I truly need direction and I am seeking – one of my things I am returning to in this new year: Seeking God more.

What wonderful things to look forward too. I have taught my older kids to cook, but now they are rarely home to do it! I’m still glad they know how! Happy New Year!

That sure sounds like a long lists. But I’m sure you’ll find a way to strike them off as you’re so focused 🙂

Great list! Have you considered a Samsung Galaxy phone? I have the S3 & I really like the camera. 🙂
January 7, 2014 @ 2:15 pm
@Lisa,
My mum has the S4 and it does take good pictures but I find it a bit too bulky for my liking so am looking for a slightly smaller sized camera phone which can easily fit into my jeans pocket 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion.
January 7, 2014 @ 3:00 pm
I hope you’ll be able to achieve all of them this year. I made mine also 😉
January 7, 2014 @ 3:55 pm
Sounds like you’ll be busy 🙂 I like the idea of listing what you’re looking forward to – a positive way to ring in the new year!

I love your list and I wish you the best in 2014! My main goals for this year are to finish the revisions to my book in order to (hopefully!) begin the publishing process, do some form of exercise each day, and to be less ornery with my family in the process lol

Those are some exciting things to look forward to this year!, Dominique!
I’m wanting to put it a big garden this year now that we finally have our own place. I’d also like to be almost done with my 2nd degree and preparing for graduate school. My oldest child will turn 18 this year. (I’ve so looked forward to him driving part of the way on family trips down to Texas!)
