When we were younger my father would use the ASL sign for “I Love You” to let us know he was thinking of us. I do it now with my daughter. One of my favorites on this list is #2 – be present. Turn off the computer and ignore the phone when possible to just spend time simply listening to what your child is saying. It will mean the world to them!

All great ideas! It is so important to tell the people that we love that we love them. It is wonderful to do it in many different ways, but we need to make sure we verbalize it often, as well.

Being present is a big one! Most of us are pretty involved in our own time and space. It says a lot when someone stops their world and enters into my world. Love this post.

I love your list! Sometimes, it is not enough to utter the words because action speaks louder too! 🙂

Great ideas! I must admit that I’m not a vocal person. I tend to shy away from saying “I love you” (as opposed to my partner). Nevertheless, my favorite in your list is number 9; that’s what I tend to do. 🙂

Hugs seem to be the big favourite around here followed by kisses. It’s very little things that make people feel loved, isn’t it?

What a sweet list! I love the one about being present – that’s so true. And I wish more people would understand that just being in the room does not mean you are fully present. Glad to have found your blog again!
