This week has been a rather busy week as the kids are back in school and I’m busy de-cluttering and getting the house ready for Chinese New Year which is at the end of January. This month will be a busy month as the new school year has just started and I have to get the kids settled into the new school/home schedule.  I too am stepping up a notch as I’ve enrolled with a few challenges this month- Ultimate Blog Challenge, P52 (Photo Challenge) and  UnButtoned ( De-cluttering) challenge.

I’ve been thinking a lot about sushi and have decided that we should have sushi again for our Chinese New Year Eve Reunion dinner instead of the traditional Chinese dishes. We had sushi for Christmas and the kids were happily gobbling it down.

How was your first week of January been?

1. What is the weather like where you are and do you like it?

It’s getting a bit hotter now as we move out of the rainy season.  There is more sun and it’s great as I am able to get the laundry done faster.

2. When you’re sick what do you seek comfort from?
 My teddy bear and chocolate.

3. What do you need to do before the end of the month?
Firstly- finish up the UBC, U-nButtoned challenge, sort out my work plan, start  lessons at my playschool for Tiger girl.

4. Have you ever served on a jury?
No.

5. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
I would be a panda bear. It’s so cute and cuddly:P

No. Most of the time I have to figure it out by myself.

We are still staying there now. It’s a 3 bedroom apartment.

3. What was the first car you owned?
 A Hyundai Accent 1.5L (auto)

4. Tell us about a crush or relationship that you had at high school.
I was in an all girls school so there is no boys and no real chance to mix around with boys.

5. Have you ever had an “enemy” in your life?
I met many “Devils” but no one I will list as an “enemy”.

I never drunk till I got drunk so there is no answer for this.

Chilling out with the kids and finalizing up my travel plans and itinerary for next month’s holiday.

Biting into St Louis County Real Estate

Housing © by james.thompson

Buying a house is a big investment which needs careful consideration.  There are many different factors which has to be considered besides just the price and location of the property. Accessibility to amenities that one needs in the future and taking into consideration the possibility of an expending family was something which I had to consider.

With the current economic crisis  it maybe a good time for one to get  a bite into St Louis county real estate  if you are looking for property in that region. Property as the prices are  either down and have stabilized and   you may get a good bargain.

Being a homeowner myself I know about how difficult it is to find a house which you can call home. Many a times when we looking at properties we were put off by the  lack of flexibility  with the design of the unit. The rooms were of odd shapes and could not accommodate the changing needs of our growing kids and expanding family. It would be a real hassle if one has to move house after staying comfortably at a place for a few years. However when the “right” place comes along you would know straightaway that it was “the one”.
