Employee Engagement Survey Increases Efficiency

Increased efficiency is the buzz word nowadays in most workplaces. With the current poor economic conditions many companies are aiming to cut cost while maintaining or improving their revenue stream.   Many companies are interested to know how their employees tick and what they can do to improve their workplace environment

Administrating a  Employee Engagement Survey is a quick and easy way to obtain the feedback that you need.  It is a useful too for employers as they are able to ask as general or as detailed questions which are  needed to find out feedback in the selected areas of focus.  Employees too benefit from filling out such a survey as  do not feel “threatened” of being singled out for voicing their opinions and dislikes as it’s optional to  fill in their personal particulars. It’s a win-win for both the employer and employee.

In the company that I  worked in they carry out such surveys online. It makes it even more convenient for the  selected employee to take the survey at his own free time at the comfort of his workstation. The benefit for the company is that there is no need to deploy additional  manpower to administer the survey. All data keyed in by the participants are   automatically computed to the various pre-defined sections in the spreadsheet. This makes it easy for both the employer and employee to review the data collected and act on it to improve the conditions in the workplace.

SOC: Starting Anew Through De-cluttering

#SOCsunday

It has been a busy first week as the boys just started the new school year. We are slowly getting into the back of school routine. The six week holidays had whizzed passed in a blink of the eye. Even though  New year is just over we  are busy getting ready for Chinese New Year which we will be celebrating later this month.

I am starting this year anew by  de-cluttering the boys toys. I’m packing up those that they no longer play with to donate to the poor. They have too many toys and it’s time they learn to share them with the lesser fortunate.

Clearing up the boys toys

My little helper and I managed to set aside two big boxes of toys to donate and will be passing them over to their grandfather who does charity work in the Philippines.

The toys that we put aside

My satisfied little helper after we sorted out all the toys.

Tiger girl

My next target area would be to de-clutter the kitchen the next week. Hopefully Tiger Girl will be as helpful as she was this week.
