The past week we were having lots of fun over at Phuket, Thailand. We flew there for a short family vacation and the kids and I really loved the place. We try to go on family vacations twice a year so that the kids can get the chance to spend more time with their dad who is always flying around. The kids enjoyed swimming everyday and were really excited when saw the private pool that came with the hotel room. They could practically jump into the pool from the bedroom !!
It was a great bonding time for everyone and we had fun visiting various places of interest and playing in theme parks. We didn’t really got around to eating much Thai food as the kids were not able to handle the spicy Thai foods and opted for western or Japanese instead. The boys loved the water theme park- Splash Jungle much that they are asking to go back there soon. It had been fun week and we are looking forward to our next family holiday to Malaysia.
December is a month full of reflections for me. A year has come to a close and it is time to move on. 2013 is around the corner and it is a time for a new beginning.
It is time to put aside the uncompleted and failed task for 2012 and wipe the slate clean. Starting anew is something that I will be doing. Celebrating the victories that I have had this year and looking forward to making new ones next year.
Celebrating Life and the gifts given to me by GOD. Cherishing the time I have with the family and making memories with them will be my main focus this month. Kids are only young once and I aim to give them the best childhood which they can have by providing them with opportunities to try different activities and experiences. These will help them build up their character and be strong and capable adults in the future.
It has been great that I had the time off this year to really think about what I would like for myself and the family and the directions that we should be taking. There will be changes in our schedules come 2013 but it will certainly be for the better. It will certainly be more challenging as the boys will be in different sessions and I will have even lesser time to focus on my work and the house. There will have to be some adjustments but I’m sure that I will be able to manage with the increased workload and lesser time on hand.
Are you too looking forward to a new beginning in 2013 ?
